Things are falling apart, including the stadium.
Figuratively the roof had already caved in on the Dallas Cowboys season heading into Monday’s game against the Houston Texans.
The idiom became a reality a couple of hours before kick-off.
If anyone asks to sum up the 2024 Dallas Cowboys season, then just play them this clip.

The Cowboys’ 34-10 loss to the Texans extended the record run of consecutive home games trailing by 20 or more points to six.
A lot needs to change with the Dallas Cowboys to recover and move forward from this season.
Let us look at three players that can give the Cowboys reasons to be hopeful for 2025.
KaVonte Turpin – Wide Receiver
The Cowboys have struggled for a second option behind CeeDee Lamb after Brandin Cooks went down injured.
Turpin has stood out more than others and he highlighted what he can provide this offence with a 64-yard touchdown against the Texans.
Turpin offers a true home run threat from anywhere on the field and is electric in the return game. A weapon that can switch field position in the blink of an eye and offer an intriguing option in the passing game.
Turpin also possesses a skill set that can support a tepid rushing attack. I would expect to see a new offensive coordinator get the ball in his hands more in 2025.
Brevyn Spann-Ford – Tight End
Primarily a blocking tight end, rookie Spann-Ford got to see more action as a pass catcher after Jake Ferguson went down with a concussion against the Texans.
Spann-Ford did an impressive job of finding soft spots in zone coverage and hauled in four catches from five targets on Monday.
At 6’7″, 270 pounds, Spann-Ford could develop into a huge part of the red zone offence. An area where the Cowboys desperately need help as they currently rank 31st in the NFL.
DeMarvion Overshown – Linebacker
One of the few players on the defensive side of the ball that can hold their head up high.
Overshown has played with a level of intensity and aggression far beyond his colleagues on defense.
After missing his entire rookie season due to a knee injury, Overshown has stood out all season long.
Overshown gets sideline to sideline and has a tremendous combination of speed and size at the position that makes him a factor in both run and pass defence.
