The Saints have touted Kellen Moore as the man they want to lead them in 2025.
The Philadelphia Eagles were pleading for an identity after last year’s implosion in the second half of the campaign – with an embarrassing annihilation coming at the hands of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the playoffs.
Vic Fangio has been applauded all year for his ability to solidify the poor excuse of a defensive unit that he had inherited. It has been highlighted as the main reason the Eagles have been a powerhouse in the NFC.
However, Kellen Moore deserves just as much recognition for developing an identity that brings the best out of this group of players.
Of course, his job has been made easier with the acquisition of the ‘cheat code’ that is Saquon Barkley – who leads the league in rushing with an astronomical 2,005 yards.
Moore still has the responsibility of masterminding plays that allow Barkley the opportunity to explode into life which he has done to perfection.
The Eagles currently sit second in rushing yards on the year, with 179.3 yards on the ground per game.
Although, the most impressive accomplishment of Moore’s tenure so far has been his ability to build his offensive unit.
He has allowed Jalen Hurts to showcase his array of talents and display how dangerous he can be during run-pass option play calls.
It is no shock to the Philadelphia faithful that Moore is being sounded out for head coach roles throughout the league.
Nick Sirianni needs to prioritise keeping hold of his offensive coordinator if the Eagles want to achieve their aspirations of being Super Bowl contenders for years to come.
