Guess who’s back? Back again!
As we gear up for Week 7 of the 2024 NFL season, it is time for a quick look back at the stars of Week 6.
As always, one player from offense, defense and special teams wins the weekly award from each conference.
So let us take a look at the winners from Week 6, and what they did to win the award.
Offense – Derrick Henry

At times this season the Baltimore Ravens offense has looked unstoppable.
Between them, Derrick Henry and Lamar Jackson have won the AFC’s Offensive Player of the Week award in four of the six weeks in 2024.
Henry accounts for three of those! In Week 6 he rushed for 132 yards and two touchdowns against the Washington Commanders.
This ninth Player of the Week award puts Henry joint-fourth for the most by a running back of all time – level with Adrian Peterson.
Henry is now also one of only four players with 20+ games of 100+ rushing yards and two touchdowns. Jim Brown, LaDainian Tomlinson and Emmitt Smith are the others.
Defense – Will Anderson Jr.

Will Anderson Jr. had a solid rookie campaign, but the Houston Texans defensive end is looking even better in year two.
The New England Patriots O-line is among the worst in the NFL, but even so Anderson feasted in Week 6.
The 23-year-old had three sacks, four tackles for loss and one pass defensed against the Patriots.
This is Anderson’s first Player of the Week award, but I highly doubt it will be his last.
Anderson joins J.J. Watt, Mario Williams and Jadeveon Clowney as the only Texans defensive ends to win the award.
Special Teams – Rigoberto Sanchez

The role of special teams is regularly overlooked in the NFL, but it is hard to ignore plays like this one.
With the Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans game going down to the wire, Rigoberto Sanchez stepped up with two clutch kicks.
In the final four minutes of the game, Sanchez put two punts inside the Titans’ 10-yard line – including the beauty in the video above.
This Player of the Week award is Sanchez’ third in the NFL. He moves above Pat McAfee for the most awards by a Colts punter.
