Fans in London witnessed a Player of the Week performance.
Often the NFL’s Player of the Week awards go to household names, just look at Week 6’s AFC winners.
However two of the winners in the NFC this week are surprise names – one seemingly in the wrong category!
Here are the three Player of the Week award winners from the NFC in Week 6.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had a truly dreadful rushing game in 2023, but that has all changed in 2024.
Rookie running back Bucky Irving has had a big impact on the offense, but he was overshadowed in Week 6.
With Rachaad White ruled out against the Saints, many expected Irving to catch the eye once again – instead it was Sean Tucker!
Prior to Week 6, Tucker had just two carries and one reception on the season, but he will have earned more work going forward.
Tucker’s 192 yards from scrimmage was the highest in the NFL in Week 6. He also scored two touchdowns in the win against New Orleans – one rushing and one receiving.
It seems the Bucs now have three capable running backs on their roster!
Defense – Brian Branch

Detroit Lions safety Brian Branch has had an excellent start to his NFL career since being drafted in 2023.
Branch scored a Pick-Six on his NFL debut, and now has his first Player of the Week award.
The 22-year-old had two interceptions and a forced fumble as the Lions blew out the Dallas Cowboys in Week 6.
Branch is the fourth player to record a multiple-interception game in the NFL this season, and the first from the NFC.
A Lions defensive back has now scooped a Player of the Week award in four straight seasons.
Special Teams – Cole Kmet

You read that correctly. Cole Kmet – the Chicago Bears tight end – has won the Player of the Week award on special teams.
Kmet scored two touchdowns on offense as the Bears beat the Jacksonville Jaguars in London in Week 6.
It is what followed those touchdowns which earned him this award. With long snapper Scott Daly injured, Kmet stepped up.
Kmet made five perfect long snaps for PATs in London, two of which following touchdowns he scored.
Kmet becomes just the fifth tight end in NFL history to win a Special Teams Player of the Week award.
