Just one more week of the regular season to go.
With the loss in Week 17 to the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Tennessee Titans now have the number two pick in the upcoming draft.
Divisional match-ups are always highly contested – and sometimes bitter rivalries clash on pivotal weekends – but this defeat for the Titans was a sobering dichotomy to the winning team we have previously been.
Twenty-five years ago, Tennessee beat Jacksonville in the AFC Championship game and went on to the Super Bowl.
Anyway, back to Sunday. With no Tony Pollard, Tajae Spears finally had his time to shine.
The spotlight was all his, without having to peak out from behind the immeasurable shadow cast by Derrick Henry in previous years.
However, while he recorded a single-game high in rushing yards, he suffered an injury late in the game. He will now miss next week’s final match-up of the season as he is back in concussion protocol.
We came back after half-time with a bit more life in us and had control of the ball for over eight minutes at the start of the third quarter. It was a drive which resulted in a Nick Vannett touchdown – the ninth of his career.
But missed catches and a declining run offense resulted in us once again losing the game. There was, however, definitely some conjecture over a touchdown scored by Jacksonville in the second quarter and why it was allowed – leaving even analyst Gene Steratore confused.
Who to draft?
Reading some different articles and updates from analysts and other fans, it seems the rumour mill is buzzing with reports that we will now not be drafting a quarterback.
The reports suggest Tennessee will instead be looking for a veteran quarterback in free agency. Only time will tell.
Perhaps next time I will tell you about why I am a Titans fan, given how our season is going you might be wondering that!

I empathise as a Giants fan, great win for us against the Colts although a large number of the whinging so called fans hated the fact we won, go figure. Great report Aimee as usual 👏
