Howie Roseman is becoming renowned for his astute ability to draft stars.

The general manager of the Philadelphia Eagles, Howie Roseman, has displayed his eye for talent over his tenure at the franchise.

It could be debated that last year Roseman was at the pinnacle of his power as he acquired the services of two of the most talented rookies in the league – the sensational cornerback pairing of Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean.

However, as a wise Ben Parker once said: “With great power, comes great responsibility.”

As the Eagles go in search of a second consecutive Super Bowl, Roseman will be under pressure to hit the mark again.

Drafting key to Eagles’ success

Depth at the linebacker position is going to be key with Zack Baun and Oren Burks’ contract situations still up in the air.

With the 32nd overall pick in the first round, mock drafts suggest that Jalon Walker from University of Georgia could be selected.

Walker is noted as one of the more efficient pass rushers in the 2025 draft class – tallying 6.5 sacks, 60 tackles and two fumble recoveries during the previous campaign.

Another position which may not be at the forefront of Roseman’s mind, but is an area that may need addressing is at tight end.

Dallas Goedert is an elite tight end but has continued to be plagued with consistent injury issues, which leaves Grant Calcaterra as the back-up option.

Due to having a later pick in the first round, Philadelphia’s general manager is going to have to perform some shrewd business to acquire a budding tight end – Harold Fannin Jr. from Bowling Green University could potentially be that player.

Fannin Jr. was credited for 1,555 yards over 117 receptions during the 2024 season and proved he is electric across the ground – recording a time of 4.71 seconds during the 40-yard dash.

Fans of the Philadelphia Eagles will be amped up in anticipation to see what magic Howie Roseman can muster up in this years draft process.
