The end of the season cannot come quick enough.
Two games, two quarterbacks and two losses. What more can be said for the sorry state the New York Giants are in?
Tommy DeVito was given the chance to ‘create a spark’, as Brian Daboll put it, against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers – I have seen more spark come from a balloon rubbed on my hair.
The Giants fell to a 30-7 loss against the Bucs and it was not pretty viewing. This was followed by numerous members of the franchise publicly criticising the team for being ‘soft’.
Star wide receiver, and every Giant’s fan’s beacon of hope, Malik Nabers was at the forefront of the public outcries and did not dampen any concerns that Daboll has lost the dressing room.
Fast forward a short few days and the Giants were facing the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving. This time Drew Lock was given the chance to run the offense.
Four quarters, a fumble and a Pick-Six later and it was another sorry loss for the Giants. The scoreboard made it look close, but in truth the product on the field once again left so much to be desired.
The Giants are in disarray, there are still five games of the season left. By all accounts no-one can be guaranteed to be here next season if this continues.
One thing is for sure, the Giants will be picking close to the top of the draft – who will be making that decision on the other hand is not.
