These three teams look familiar? They should!
For a second straight week, players from the Baltimore Ravens and Denver Broncos have scooped the offensive and defensive Player of the Week award respectively.
A Ravens player winning the award on offense is almost a guarantee at the moment – this is a fourth straight week!
Here are the three Player of the Week award winners from the AFC in Week 7.
Offense – Lamar Jackson

Henry/Jackson/Henry/Jackson – it seems inevitable that one of them will win this award every week!
In fact, in 2024 one of Derrick Henry or Lamar Jackson has picked up this award in five of the seven weeks.
Jackson is the deserved winner in Week 7, having thrown for 281 yards with five touchdowns and no interceptions for a passer rating of 158.1.
There have only been five games in NFL history where a quarterback has thrown five touchdowns and rushed for 50+ yards. Three of them are by Lamar Jackson!
Defense – Cody Barton

The Denver Broncos defense had themselves a day on Thursday Night Football against the New Orleans Saints.
Barton had eight tackles, one pass defensed, one forced fumble and a 52-yard fumble-return touchdown in the 33-10 win.
The award is Barton’s first, in a week where he was the only AFC player on the defensive side of the ball to score a touchdown.
Special Teams – Charlie Jones

There is not much I can add to that video.
On the very first play of the game, Charlie Jones ran the length of the field to return the kick-off for a touchdown.
Jones was the only player in the NFL to score on a kick-off return in Week 7, and also added 39 yards on punt returns.
The Cincinnati Bengals ended up beating their rivals – the Cleveland Browns – by seven points, so Jones’ early touchdown proved crucial.
