Packers feast upon Dolphins on Thanksgiving

Jordan Love finally gets his Turkey Leg.

Thanksgiving brought a snowy spectacle to Lambeau Field, where the Green Bay Packers carved up the Miami Dolphins in a 30-17 victory.

For Miami, it was a bitter reminder of their struggles in cold weather.

For Green Bay, it was a feast of dominance, spearheaded by a surging offense and critical defensive stops.

The tone was set early in the first quarter when Malik Washington muffed a punt, gifting the Packers a ‘1st and Goal’ situation.

Jordan Love wasted no time, connecting with Jayden Reed for a short touchdown pass that gave Green Bay a 7-0 lead.

It was a massive turning point after the Packers’ opening drive had stalled, and it shifted momentum decisively in Green Bay’s favour.

A Thanksgiving workhorse

As has become tradition this season, the Packers’ offense leaned heavily on running back Josh Jacobs.

Jacobs delivered another standout performance, amassing just shy of 120 total yards and keeping Miami’s defense on its heels throughout the game.

Green Bay’s offensive line was once again superb, giving Jacobs room to work and keeping Love well-protected.

Speaking of Love, the young quarterback continues to impress. He threw for 274 yards and two touchdowns, showing poise and precision in the pocket.

Love’s improved decision-making and confidence were evident, and with the offensive line giving him plenty of time, he looked in complete control.

His deep ball to Christian Watson in the third quarter was a highlight, setting up another scoring opportunity for the Packers.

Love fully deserved his two post-match turkey legs delivered by Packers legend LeRoy Butler – particularly after Fox failed to give him one following an impressive Thanksgiving win at Detroit last season!

A Tough Road Ahead

Now sitting at 9-3, the Packers face perhaps their biggest test of the season- a Thursday night showdown on the road against the 11-1 Detroit Lions.

Widely regarded as the NFL’s top team, Detroit will be a true litmus test of where the Packers stand.

For now, though, Packers fans can savour the Thanksgiving victory, served cold and with a side of optimism for what lies ahead.
