The Philadelphia Eagles look to continue their recent electric form.
It is the NFC East match-up that can usually decide which side will clinch the division.
However, so far in 2024 the Cowboys have whimpered to a 3-5 record so far.
Things are not going to get any easier for Dallas fans as they will be without quarterback, Dak Prescott, for several weeks with a hamstring issue.
On the defensive end of the ball, Micah Parsons and Trevon Diggs are also questionable for the game at the AT&T Stadium.
Philadelphia fans have more room for optimism.
After a stuttering start to the year, the Eagles have appeared to find an identity and sit comfortably in second position in the NFC East with a 6-2 record.
Star quarterback, Jalen Hurts, seems to be back to his best throwing for 1774 yards on the year. This is before we mention his eight rushing touchdowns.
Hurts is not the only Eagles star who is currently flying high.
Saquon Barkley appears to be unstoppable as he literally leapfrogs his way into the conversation of being the league’s greatest running back. Only Derrick Henry has more rushing yards than Barkley on the year.
The Philadelphia running back has 925 yards after eight games and has scored six touchdowns.
Philadelphia’s defense has looked more resolute in recent weeks under Vic Fangio.
The Eagles sit third in the rankings for total yards allowed per game with 290.13.
Zack Baun has been a standout performer for the defensive unit. In 2024 he has racked up 79 tackles – 19 more than any other Eagle.
Kellen Moore, the Eagles offensive coordinator, has found great success in recent weeks in the running game.
In contract, the Cowboys rank 30th in the NFL for rushing yards against per game.
It will be no surprise for either set of fans if Philadelphia choose to keep the ball on the floor during this match.
Dallas may not look the dangerous outfit they have been in recent years, but this will surely make for a feisty divisional contest.
