There has been plenty to celebrate in Minnesota.
Cam Bynum was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
Shortly after the draft the Vikings social media team shared a story posted by Bynum after finding out he had been drafted.
In the video he sprints out of a cabin on the lake, grabs a Vikings flag and dives into the water.
As a ballhawk safety and strong tackler he has been a reliable member of the defense since day one.
This Vikings defense under Brian Flores is a different beast to anything else you see in the league.
Without having any individuals who would qualify as elite, they are one of the best units in almost all categories.
With a league leading 20 interceptions the Vikings defense is getting plenty of opportunities to celebrate.
Some of them, such as Harrison Phillips’ questionable attempt at the ‘Griddy’ will be quickly forgotten. Others will live a little bit longer in the memory!
Which brings us back to Bynum, as the lead choreographer of a lot of these celebrations I think it is time we get a definitive ranking of the top four so far this season.
4. Usher glitch dance
Coming in at the number four we have the celebration after Bynum picked off C.J. Stroud in the fourth quarter of the Vikings’ win over the Houston Texans.
The dance moves were good enough to get the seal of approval from Usher himself – who performed the Super Bowl halftime show in February.

3. Raygun tribute
This is where it goes from good to great.
After picking off Mac Jones late in the fourth quarter to effectively seal the win for the Vikings, Bynum’s homage to the luckless Australian Olympic breakdancer Rachael Gunn – or Raygun for short – was perfect.
Initially, even Bynum’s teammates were not sure what he was doing, but it did eventually become clear.
A vast improvement on the original routine – which scored a grand total of zero points – the performance here is good enough for bronze.

2. Parent Trap
Week 5 saw the Vikings make the trip across the pond to face the New York Jets. For many reasons this has to take the Silver spot.
There is the opposition quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, who tormented the Vikings in his 15 years as a Green Bay Packer. Any time we can get one over on the old enemy it always means a little bit more.
Also, there is the fact that for many of us fans based in the UK we actually get a chance to see our favourite teams in the flesh.
I was sat behind the end zone where Bynum and fellow safety Josh Metellus performed the celebration, so it definitely means more to me.
Finally there is the celebration itself, emulating the handshake from the Parent Trap the tandem nailed it. In keeping with the film and its links between the two nations, it definitely hit the mark.
Lohan herself gave it the seal of approval when she appeared on the Jimmy Fallon show.

1. White Chicks
Regardless of your feelings for Kirk Cousins, seeing Josh Metellus pick off the former Vikings quarterback in Cousin’s first trip back to Minnesota was a great moment.
Metellus and Bynum went straight to the end zone and performed perhaps the greatest celebration in NFL history.
Replicating the iconic dance routine from the Wayans brothers 2004 hit ‘White Chicks’, the safety duo have raised their own bar.
With the promise that they have other ideas in the pipeline there is more reason to be optimistic in Minnesota.
It takes the gold medal!
