The Super Bowl is over. So what now?

The Pro Bowl is over. The Super Bowl is over.

For most people the waiting for the new season to start in six months begins. But not me.

For me, the season starts now. The NFL combine is at the end of the month and it is one of my favourite things to watch and yes, I watch it all.

All four glorious days of it. All four glorious days of prospects running drills and showing the NFL world what they have got to offer.

Every year Lucas Oil Stadium welcomes approximately 300 prospects to ‘audition’ for their possible future team – and show off a little in front of each other too – before one of the most important dates in the season. Draft Day.

Nine positional categories over four days testing these players on all of the skills they need to not only succeed but thrive in the big leagues.

The full list is available at www.nfl.com or on the NFL app and shows the name and college of each individual hoping to get their shot at the big leagues.

From the 40-yard dash to the broad jump; the shuttle run to the bench press; and many more in between including throwing, catching, athletic measurements, and interviews, everyone in Indianapolis is in for a busy few days.

Now, I have already said this is my favourite part of the season outside of the actual games. I keep track of who I like as well as who I do not, so I know exactly who to pay extra attention to on Draft Day.

I am no scouting expert, but I do not do half bad at picking a gem or two – even if I do say so myself. I’m hoping this year will be no exception.

Maybe I will share my favourites after the combine and you can judge for yourself, I make sure to keep an extra careful eye out for what we need in Nashville and this year is a doozy!

Titans to take a QB?

The Tennessee Titans have so many requirements and with the number one pick overall this year the rumour mill is still abuzz with chatter around the quarterback position.

Both Cam Ward and Shadeur Sanders names have been heavily in the mix although personally – possible unpopular opinion incoming – I do not think we should take either of them.

Free agency has some incredible talent this year – would Sam Darnold not look great in two-tone blue? – and starting just one week after the combine things will change on a dime. It often leaves analysts scrambling to re-evaluate before the draft.

I cannot wait to see who turns up to Lucas Oil Stadium, who does not and who blows everyone away.

Let us see who has what it takes to create a name for themselves amongst legends. Anyone else ready?

  1. Really enjoyed reading this one. So many parallels with the Giants. Like the combines but tend to cherry pick what I watch 🏈🏈😍
