The rookie is going from strength to strength.
Brian Thomas Jr. is making his case to be the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Year.
In his – and the Jacksonville Jaguars’ – second NFL London game of 2024, the rookie wide receiver caught five passes for 89 yards, a touchdown and a two-point conversion.
It was a good day all-round for the Jaguars, who got back to winning ways with a 32-16 triumph over the New England Patriots.
Offensive Rookie of the Year award may be a stretch for Thomas Jr – particularly with Jayden Daniels’ hot start and Caleb Williams’ recent form – but could he be the best rookie wide receiver? Quite possibly!

Marvin Harrison Jr. and Malik Nabers have both impressed – particularly the latter – but Thomas Jr’s performance against the Patriots certainly caught the eye.
Thomas Jr. is now just the fifth rookie since 2000 to record over 480 receiving yards with four or more receiving touchdowns in their first seven games.
“I’ve still got a lot of development to do, I’m still in my first year,” Thomas Jr. told reporters after the game at Wembley Stadium.
“I’m practicing hard and trying to go out there and be the best I can be.
“I’m taking everything step by step, putting my best foot forward each and every day to get better.”

Things started badly for the Jags at Wembley, as the Patriots rushed into a 10-0 lead in the first quarter.
Unlike against the Chicago Bears at Tottenham last week, Jacksonville rallied after falling behind.
“We’re playing for one another, even though we didn’t have the start we wanted we stuck together,” added Thomas Jr.
